To create the background, I mixed regular children's bubbles with reinkers and then blew bubbles and caught them on watercolor paper. The big circles were formed when a bubble sat on the paper for a bit before popping. The small splatters were created when a bubble popped immediately upon hitting the paper. I am thrilled with the result and am glad I was able to find a way to effectively match the DSP.
