This is the last color challenge of my month as one of the guest designers. It was an honor to be invited, and I have had a great time playing along - thank you so much!
This week's color challenge is "Wonderful Pizzazz Petals", with dessert option of metallic gold.
I have two things to admit...I LOVE DESSERT (make it chocolate, please!), and Primrose Petals is one of my least favorite colors. I cringe when it is one of the weekly colors.
I embossed the poppy background on cream paper with gold detail powder, and used a blender pen to color the flowers and stems. I added sequins, old olive organdy ribbon, and a sentiment tag.
I usually emboss this image in black (using clear embossing powder) and color with Copics. I must say, I find it striking in gold.
And, SHOCK! This is my favorite card of my "guest" month - even with the Primrose Petals!
Thanks again! I'll still see you in the Color Challenge Forum next week (just not early!).

Kathy, you created a wonderful card with these colors and the poppies image. I like your soft coloring of them with the white bg. Very pretty and fresh looking.

Beautiful card, Kathy, and I do love that you embossed the poppies; it gives them a wonderful definition. And the gold sequins add some extra sparkle. Thanks for playing along with us this past month!!
