I was excited to see that Priscilla (catluvr2) had been chosen as our latest Featured Stamper. She has a style uniquely her own, a wit I giggle at often, and so supportive of our artful community. And I took a long leisurely stroll through her gallery. You're right, Julie, catluvr2 does her part in keeping the die cut companies cranking out cool tools...cut a big smile here!
I've got several cards in mind to case as time allows today...first up, is pocket Full of Posies. This one is really rich in details from the patterns, plaid and paper piercing, wood grain, and the dimensional LOVE. It is such a happy card!!!! I enjoy saving the pockets of my sons worn out jeans for such a time as this!!!
But as the boys have gown, the size of their pockets have gotten larger as well. For today's card, I had to take the 'watch' pocket off a pair of Sam's jeans that were in a recycle bag I found to go out last night.
And so my case of catluvr2's pocket Full of Posies goes way astray. I did use a pocket and the word LOVE. I did not use die cuts, but stamps that I colored and cut. Also used the fabulous Calico Studio United States map. I know Sam's gonna put on his traveling jeans and roam with his music career. Thought I'd pack his pocket with *important* truths.
Thanks so much for the inspiration, Priscilla. I am so happy you are honored this week. Enjoy the bright lights of our community...and thanks for stopping by.

Oh, Susan, SUPER POCKET card! As always, I am amazed at your creative thought process. The real denim pocket is genius and the map and tickets with "truths" stamped on them are brilliant. I hope Sam's music career takes him everywhere he wants to go. Thank you for your wonderfully inventive art card!

Saving pockets, I love that tradition you have going there. The years they do fly and life is too short to not "Live the life you imagine." Your creative words of wisdom always provide those little proverbs of life I need. Thanks, Susan!

Every one of your cards tell a story, Susan! Another very meaningful creation with many fab details - the pocket is fantastic and I love the idea of filling a pocket with bits of wisdom. He'll be filling both pockets with many new learning experiences from the sounds of it!

What a wonderful collage, Susan! I love images of maps (and maps themselves). I'm smiling at the big letters on the states...they remind me of a US map magnet I have on my fridge...with TX being humongous and important and the other little states...not so much, lol. And the names for some of the states you show are hilarious. (Idaho is Hi Ho; WA is Wash Tin, etc).
