This is for MIX64. My background is a mixture of Distress Ink and WC pencils. We were asked to mist, spray, splash or spritz and I did a bit of all of those building up the layers of color. I finished the BG by inking through drywall tape. My focal image is a two-part stamp. I colored in the "solid" stamp using Distress Markers and then misted the stamp before stamping to give a watercolory effect. Then I stamped the outline over that. I softened the edges of my scalloped layer by swiping it with a white pigment ink pad. The strip running vertically is composed of a leftover stamped BG piece from last week's Inspiration Challenge, with a piece of black and white DP on top, finished with green twine. The spritzing and spraying and misting were not the new thing for me here. It's that piece of DP. Yes, this is the first card I have ever made using DP. I think it adds the perfect touch. But of course now that I have decided to start using DP, I am buying DP with wild abandon. Someone stop me, please. (As my SIL would say, welcome to your next addiction/obsession/money pit.)
Thanks for looking!

LOL on the paper thing - I have to force myself not to look at paper when I go to the craft stores or I WILL BUY!
Awesome card - the background is fantastic, and I love the image!

DP!!! You!!! I am amazed. There I was expecting to read about what stamp you'd used to create that strip.
I'm sorry I was away over Easter or I'd have tucked this into my Favourites to share on Sunday. I'll just tuck it in for my own personal pleasure instead. The colours are so wonderful.

This is gorgeous, Robin, and I was just reading in the Forum about ZIG Clean Markers and was curious about your gallery! Wow, this is an amazing "DP" you've designed, and I love the entire card! Beautifully done! I'm still thinking about the ZIG markers and will view Jennifer McGuire's video. Hugs!
