This week over at Papertrey Ink, they demonstrated how to make a no-sew quilted card. I took a slightly different approach to the quilt card. Versus cutting out squares, I opted to use my PI hexagon cover plate, and cut it out 5 times. I then paper pieced it together. Next I took a zigzag cover plate and embossed the pattern over the “quilted paper”. I added another layer of the hexagon background on top for depth, and added two bees and a sentiment from Simon Says stamp sets – Circle Friends & Handwritten Sentiments. I also added quilting to the inside of the card. The bees were coloured with copics and wink of stella was added to the wings.

This is adorable. Love your bright springtime colors and the overall embossing really does give it the appearance of a well-loved and well-washed quilt.
