Today, Audrie took us to France for inspiration! The site is called Pshiiit (French word meaning fresh and sparkling) and on it, you will find some very artistically painted fingernails. I was inspired by several but choose the peacock to case. I didn't notice til afterward that Audrie had included that among her samples to choose from. Here is the direct link.
Peacocks/peacock feathers are known to symbolize many things, including renewal and resurrection. I found this peacock feather 1-1/2 yrs ago. Since I am making some Easter cards, I thought I'd make a card using my feather to represent the resurrection of Christ. This card will go to my very dear second cousins, Gene and Nancy.
I used a SU Bermuda bay base and second layer of same for last Friday's F4A tone-on-tone challenge. I sponge distressed the edges in kiwi kiss. Since the peacock feather was something old that I'd never used, I am also adding it to last Thursday's WT gallery.
Thanks for looking!

Awesome card! Your colored card base is perfect for this real peacock feather. And the vellum sentiment panel is not only beautiful, it serves the purpose of keeping those delicate feathers in place - brilliant design idea! Glad that you had to make another card for the challenge, otherwise we would have missed seeing this one. TFS!
