redi2stamp, Mary, is our guest hostess for the Teapotters' Tickle this week, and her Fantasy Fairy Tea Party challenge has us finding out the flower for our birth month, and making a card with that flower and a flower fairy too if we have one!
On the UK listing, Sweet Pea is the flower for April, but on the US list it's Peony, and since I have both a peony stamp and a peony die, I went with that ;-).
I don't have any fairy stamps, but I added some wings and inspired by the title of the challenge I used fantasy film to make my butterflies. They have lovely soft flocked bodies too, and Stickles, so they are very fairy like. Couldn't get a good photo - sorry.
Base stamped with Vines in Shabby Shutters and covered with the Spellbinders lattice to give a garden feel. I used silver border stickers to finish the edges.
Stampendous image stamped on watercolour paper and coloured mostly with watercolours, and some distress inks. Finished with Stickles and Liquid Pearls, and layered on chipboard to add a little depth.
Flourishes sentiment stamped on white card, cut with Spellbinders Tag, edged with a silver pen and finished off with little flowers and Stickles.
For the butterflies - I layered two colours of Fantasy Film and stamped the butterfly using StazOn Dove Grey. To have one facing the other way, I traced the outline on the back with a permanent marker. I cut them out, added flocking to the body and Stickles to the wings, and angled the wings slightly.

So sweet and charming. I love that lattice die with the DSP peeking through. And, of course, wonderful coloring on your focal image.
