I have been MIA this week, and next week doesn't look much better. The only "coloring" I've done was my husband's hair last night. It was the first time and all I can say is that mixed media is much easier. My stamps don't fidget, whine and complain. I would have posted the results of this coloring, but I did't see a technique gallery for husband's heads. Boy did I need some card therapy this morning. I used the CC470 Colors and the SC480 layout. Added a panel of words covered eith some wattered down gesso for the MIX60, and used some buttons for the WT471. The rooster is a digi stamp colored with prisma pencils and gamisol. TFL Francie

Love the beautiful coloring on the rooster and the stenciling on the corners of the panel! Glad you survived the hair coloring incident to stamp another day

Your card is great! The rooster has a French country look to it with the primary colors...That plaid bg paper is wonderful and the drywall stenciled corners are really fab! Your write up was rather funny...not about the lost job (hope he finds a new one soon..I'm sure the "younger hair" will be a plus) but the fidgeting, whining complaining part..lol...yes stamps are more cooperative (usually).
ps-thanks for the comment...I'm doing better...we still have really cold weather for Spring so that's a downer but could be worse I guess..

Love it! What a happy rooster - maybe he can cheer up your husband? I think you should post a photo anyway, I'd love to see a husband sit still for that. Does he know you told the world ;)

I enjoyed your write-up so much - at the end of a busy weekend it made me laugh. Good luck to your DH in finding a new job!
That rooster is just darling - it reminds me of a combination of the one so common on Portuguese china and pottery and linen, and the type of Quimper pottery from France. He makes me wish I did digital!! And the plaid background is wonderful for him.
Here's wishing you a better week, contrary to any expectations.
