This is a card I made for an online card class I'm participating in. The focus of the class is one layer cards. This lesson demonstrated using masking and sponging to create a plaid background.
I chose to use spring colors and make an Easter card for one of the grandkids. After completing the masking and inking, I added stripes of clear and colored Stardust Gelly Roll pens and Recollections Fine Writers.
The image was stamped on a separate piece of cs and colored with Prismacolors and Chromatix markers. I applied pastels to the sky and ground area with a small rounded Brush Stix and colored over the stamped image with Wink of Stella.
The card front and the image were cut with the egg shaped die and the image was placed into the opening in the card front. I secured on the inside with tape and lined the card front with a separate piece of cs. The egg shape is traced with yellow Stickles to give more definition to the image.
As always, thanks for looking!

OMG...how could I have missed this adorable card in the gallery. So glad I went back and spotted it. Right onto my pinterest page for great use of colors. The bkg paper and your image go so well together. So fun and it makes the viewer smile.
