Trying not to give in to a cold my DH so nicely gave me. Thought making a card would help, but I think the cold is winning. SO after this post I will be hitting the couch with my blankie.....sorry for the whining. hehe Details...
I used a plastic bag which I added color to with w/c crayons. Spritzed them with water and pulled a print. Just bought these house stamps so had to use them. Stamped them on my print and cut them out.
Laid them on a white cs panel for placement, then drew the little yard scene around them. Colored the scene with chalk pencils. Glued the houses on popping up the tops.
Needed some more color so I stamped the little birdie and colored him/her with a marker.
Browsed Kim's gallery, who just happens to be our new Queen and noticed her very first upload had a lot of similarities. Like she has three roses, I have three houses. Color scheme is close, and she has a ribbon too minus the staple. So I went with it. Kim enjoy your reign!
Started to take a photo and remembered the F4A challenge was to have a staple on it so I took some ribbon, tied a bow and stapled it on. Done.
Well I am off to the couch. Hopefully I will be back later to comment. I so appreciate ALL your kinds words. You ladies are the best!.....TFL :0)

Awesome creation! You do good work when you aren't feeling well! The wonky houses are delightful and the stamping, coloring on them is so fun. That was clever of you to use the double staples on the bow, it fits with the funky, wonderful-ness of the houses! TFS

Cathy are you sure your're not Australian....hitting the couch with my blankie is such an Aussie thing to say LOL. Hope you and your DH are getting better. Being unwell hasn't effected your creativity, this is terrific and everything about it makes me smile. Give my best to Curt. xx

Your ability to pull out this stellar of a challenge card while coming down with a cold is exemplary! You should wear a crown while you are crashing on the couch!
I'm glad someone tried watercolor crayons with this technique. It looks great and those houses and wee bird are whimisical and fun.
So glad you joined in the challenge... in time. Take care and hope that cold turns out to be short and weak.

Rest up! I love these houses - I'm predicting these will be the next 'in' thing. Great selection of colors too - I'll bet they are putting flowers in their flowerbeds! Thanks for playing the Mix-Abilities challenge!
