My hat is the SweetCuts - Witch's Hat die. After cutting the hat from green cardstock I took a 1 1/2" circle punch and cut the top off...perfect for St. Patrick's Day. To create the band I cut just a portion of the hat and do a little scissor work to cut it down to the buckle. The die cuts the buckle portion out of the die so I place it back in the opening with tape on the back, cut a second buckle in gold and glue it over the first, it only takes a couple minutes and really adds to the hat. Sponging was done with Ranger Distress Ink using a stencil from The Crafters Workshop.
