A 17-year old driver, no license and no insurance, ran a red light and hit my DH one month ago. He was in ICU after smacking the windshield with his forehead. It totalled his S-10 and he is still limping. Since this set just came in, I had to make a "glad you are OK" card. Tommy, my DH, is more upset about losing his pickup than the huge scar across his forehead, the ambulance ride, the time in the ER and ICU, and his missing front tooth. He needed a Pickup! LOL. Tommy loved this card and has already bent it up and pulled out the ribbon a few times playing with the spinner. Thank you to the SCS for sharing this technique! I really appreciate it as it is such a blessing to have him around and watch him laugh and play with a stamped card.

Love it!! My son is a firefighter paramedic and also works at a level one trauma center in Longview Texas. Miss that boy something fierce. Anyway, when I get that stamp set I am going to use your wonderful idea. He is newly married and his wife loves to go on calls with him with his volunteer fire department. She is a GREAT daughter-in-law.

Best of luck to your husband and family dealing with his accident. I'm so glad you were able to put a smile on his face with your card! Amazing how cards do that, huh! You created such a cute card .... my family loves the spinners! Even my 17 year old son laughs! Happy healing!!

Thank you for all the wonderful posts!!!! DH later admitted to me that he thought the bandaids were "falling bricks" and that the ambulance was "spinning to get away from them." Sigh.... He also said that "bandaids are brown, not red!" LOL. :P He is much better, and thanks again for the really kind words!
