Cross is stamped, then die-cut (x 3), then layered with dimensionals to create 3 layers, slightly off-set. Background is stamped with the edges of the cross stamp, creating swirls. Heart and embellishments are die cut and added on. Whole surface is sprayed with terra cotta walnut distressing ink. Copper tag is attached with matching brads to card front. Edges are roughly cut using heartbeat scissors and tearing edge, then distressed with cranberry and brown inks. Quotation is stamped with brown, then distressed with cranberry and brown inks, then mounted using dimensionals on copper tag.

Oh, Wendy, I just saw your card on the blog!! It's fabulous, and I'm so glad to read how you achieved this amazing, masculine-look on your card! I just love this verse with the cross, and love the rich, earthy colors! So glad you've joined us this week for the ODBD Shining the Light challenge! Warm hugs!

Thanks, Cheryl. Layering multiple die-cut crosses really helps the cross (in person) to stand out. First time for trying the challenge! I love this verse and have made the card for someone going through a tough situation, needing encouragement to "keep on keeping on"!

What an awesome masculine card Wendy!! Love the distressed or shabby feel. The verse is so powerful and the cross is the perfect image with it. Thanks so much for joining us at ODBD again this week!!
