I made this card for a Clean & Simple challenge to use neutrals, with the dessert option of using a natural material (CAS 262, 3/3/14). The natural material that I used on this card was the linen thread.
This card was more complicated to make than I intended it to be. After die cutting the bunny label I discovered that the next size of die was too large and exposed more of the black than I wanted to have show. I worked around that by creating a custom mat size using the same size label die as before but cutting it in half horizontally and mounting it to expose a tiny black edge around the bunny label. Fussy but worth it to acheive the look I was wanting.
Another fiddly thing about this card is the dry embossed edge. This border was created by cutting apart the SU Finial Press folder and using the skinny swoopy design. (The score lines on either side of the design are there to hide the marks left by the edge of the folder). I cut this embossing folder into 3 pieces a few years ago when I saw it used that way on a card and thought it was beautiful. Yes, I did order another Finial Press embossing folder to replace the one I destroyed...wouldn't you know it, I've never used it! The cut up one does get used.
I'm so glad you stopped by to look at my Tender Toile Bunny. Thank you!
