Whoop! Whoop! Curt and I are in the BIG APPLE today with the very fun Teapotter gang. New York will never be the same once we leave. hehe....
Curt was so excited when we first arrived that he just had to have his photo taken in front of those tall colorful buildings so he could post it to FB. He is so much fun to travel with, let me tell you.
To be truthful, Curt nor I have ever really been to NY, so today we are traveling vicariously through MMTPT party with all the wonderfully creative ladies. They are the best!!!!......card details....
I traced this stencil onto white cs with pencil, colored it in with Bic Markers then retraced all the lines with a pen.
For the sky, I used the stencil as a mask and stippled on the blue, masking the moon/sun, in the sky.
I wasn't sure where Curt was going to stand, so I took a piece of vellum, lightly drew him, then added some color with the Bic markers. To make the white, I turned over the paper and gessoed the back side.
I cut him out. The gessoed thin paper rolled a little so I went with it. I taped fiber fill on his backside to "puff"him up then glued him to the card front.
Thought since we are going to New York, I definitely needed an apple on my card. Fortunately I had an apple punch.
Well, I sure hope someone gets a tickle out of puffed up Curt.....plus I hope his stuffing stays put! hehe Have a great day all you teapotters!!! Behave yourselves in the big city ....NOT!.....TFL :0)

I think Curt would be a sensation even in a jaded place like New York where they've seen it all. I really like your colorful skyline -- I think of a skyline as black and white, but of course there's actually lots of color variation there.
