This card was made for two things. One in honor of Limedoodle (FS367 late I know!) whose work I adore. I was inspired by the technique she has used on several of her cards which is to use dies and stamping to make the sentiment. Here is an example of what I am talking about: You are so Beautiful by yorkshire lass at Splitcoaststampers
She has a few others in her gallery.
The other reason for this card is a birthday card for the daughter of my heart.. Shawn is an amazing woman and I am proud to have been a part of her life when she was younger (step-daughter) and then went on to be a mentor and friend as she grew older. Shawn's mother has pancreatic cancer and Shawn has organized major marathons in 12 different cities, one a month to raise money and awareness for Pancreatic Cancer. https://www.facebook.com/#!/ShawnVer...arathonsForMom
Hope you are able to view this if you have an interest.
This beautiful Spellbinder edge was cut at our monthly die club. The Happy and Day are from the Simon Says "Oh Happy Day" die. The butterfly Memory Box is the Darla die and the top layer is beige Mulberry paper. You can't see the darker fibers that are in in this photo but it matched the two papers I used really well.
I have this matching disease....
Thanks for looking!

You have heart and soul in this one Peggy and it shows! That edge die is about the most beautiful one I have ever seen and love how you did that sentiment! How elegant with the linen textured paper and all those pearls! Oh my gosh I love this!

Gorgeous card Peggy for a very special person. Congrats to Shawn for tackling such a huge project to bring awareness of Pancreatic Cancer into everyone's minds and hearts. Awareness is the key to getting funding to find a cure for this horrific disease. Shawn is amazing!

Thank you for sharing the story of Shawn and her mum. You have created a beautiful card Peggy. I bet Shawn has an amazing collection of birthday cards from you over the years. Another favourite my friend.

This is a gorgeous card! Love that border die cut and the pearl embellishments; especially the tear drop ones on the butterfly. Thanks for sharing your step daughter's story. Sounds like a remarkable young woman.
