For MFT's Heartfelt Greetings challenge for LoveFest 2014. I'm so glad Jody suggested using felt - it allowed me to combine this with the stitching from yesterday's IC - primarily this sampler, which gave me the idea of using a different stitch in the centre of each flower.
This is one of those CAS cards that took several attempts - not helped by the fact that my SAMJ went AWOL in a desk tidy last night.
Stamped the sentiment. Stamped and sponged the greenery, drew stems and stuck the trellis over. Scored the sides.
I cut the flowers from felt, and the centres from tan card. I thought that using the die-cut centres with the little holes pierced would make the stitching easy - and it did for the chain stitch and the French knots. Had to give up on Lazy Daisy, and the seed stitch is too regular to look right, but that's what it's meant to be.

I can't find the words for how much I love this card....for me it engendered immediate memories of garden days behind my house in Massachusetts, and a really warm and fuzzy feel! Thank you for being doubly inspired this week, and for sharing your lovely designs with us!

Sabrina I knew you just couldn't stay away from the embroidery on Salley's site. I love your flowers each with its own distinctive center. That trellis on top of the free form greenery is a perfect display for those bright, happy blooms! Another beautiful card!

So bright and fun...I doubt real flowers could look as good. The scoring and creative use of the lattice die cut is awsome. Your sritching is fantastic. I haven't used those stitches since I was a teenager doing embroidery on my jeans.

Beautiful stitchery on those fabulous sunflowers! I love the way you have them leaning so invitingly over the fence. So nice to see real embroidery on a card!
