This card is for the LOVEFEST2014C and TLC469 challenges, both of which asked us to doodle on our cards. Outlining around the negative space of a die cut was illustrated in the TLC challenge.
After I decided which die I wanted to use, I knew I wanted to use black paper backed by red with white dots. Except I didn't have any red with white dots. BUT I have a Cover-a-Card stamp with small dots, so I made my own by stamping with VersaMark and embossing with white detail ep. The outline die was cut twice from black, reserving the outlines. I adhered the black piece to the red and glued the outlines in place. The sentiment was stamped in VersaMark and the flowers masked before I added the ep, just in case the glue wasn't completely dry. I heated it and then doodled dots around the flowers, edges, and below the sentiment.
This was so much fun, I love this technique!
As always, thanks for looking!

After all my dots, these are refreshing. Especially knowing that you had to do them all by hand. At least I only have to hit the embossed dots. This is a very neat card! Good job! tfs

What a great way to create paper you need! I am amazed again at how you not only created this gorgeous card but how you even think of things like this! Fabulous, Jody!
