Color Challenge: wild wasabi, strawberry slush & daffodil delight
I don't have strawberry slush, so I substituted it with retired pixie pink. The desert option is to make it a feminine/floral card. I made this for my grandma who loves "The Sound of Music."
Sketch Challenge: I was delighted that the sketch included a tent card! I just realized my top main panel was supposed to be shorter. Oops. I should have looked again once I had my lyrics idea. I did get the vertical banner flag, though
Stampin' Up Stamps: Roses in Winter, Thoughts & Prayers

Ink: SU pixie pink, daffodil delight, wild wasabi; computer black ink for the lyrics
Tools: Spellbinders Nestabilities; plain scissors to cut the banner flag
Accessories: SU white taffeta ribbon
Other: computer generated The Sound of Music Lyrics - "My Favorite Things"
Raindrops on roses and whiskers on kittens,
bright copper kettles and warm woolen mittens,
brown paper packages tied up with strings,
these are a few of my favorite things.
Cream colored ponies and crisp apple strudels,
door bells and sleigh bells and schnitzel with noodles.
Wild geese that fly with the moon on their wings.
these are a few of my favorite things.
Girls in a white dresses with blue satin sashes,
snowflakes that stay on my nose and eyelashes,
silver white winters that melt into springs,
these are a few of my favorite things.
When the dog bites, when the bee stings,
when I'm feeling sad,
I simply remember my favorite things,
and then I don't feel so bad.

This is so pretty and feminine! I love the Sound of Music too - is there anyone who doesn't? Your Grandmother will love this, with the lyrics right on the card. Before my sister had a stroke, she sang at weddings, etc. and everyone always compared her voice to Julie Andrews. I loved it when she would sing this song.

Oh so beautiful! I just sang through those lyrics in my head. (...and probably will be all night too) I love you oval framed by that pretty die cut. Great card!
