We had a terrific story this week about Willamena the Chocolatier and the forthcoming chocolate convention. Our challenge is to bring chocolate; white, brown, black, mild or wild. Personally I think chocolate should a “food group” and I ate many, many chocolates whilst making this card.
Our teaparty is for 80 year old Rita LeClaire, the mum of SCS Gingerbeary8 aka Carol. I hope our cards lift RitaÂ’s spirits.
I was really stumped to know what to do this week so I resorted to my trusty stair step card. There are two sets of steps, it is hard to see in the photo but there is floral wall paper on the steps behind each window. Both windows have acetate, the arched window was a bit tricky. The little sign is made with a die from a sewing theme die set.
The shutter was a very last minute decision; it was the only thing large enough to cover up the big gaping hole in the wall. You see, I had made a little Sassy Cheryl digi girl, I called her Lottie. I stuck Lottie on and wasnÂ’t quite happy with her posture so I went to remove her. Unfortunately in this warm weather everything dries super quick, what normally would have peeled off easily was coming off in chunks. Little LottieÂ’s head was strongly adhered to the wall as were her little feet. The other part that was attached to the wall was this funny kidney shaped piece of cardstock. That actually made me laugh as I have often said it would be easier to donate a kidney than to do a CAS card. It looks like Lottie agrees with me.
Unfortunately there was no time to reincarnate little Lottie so she was replaced with a shutter, a tree and a circular sign.
Thank you for looking and have a great week everyone.

Hahahah! I have visions of pieces of Lottie stuck to the wall, poor Lottie! But your chocolate shop card is adorable and the little red bicycle outside is the most beautiful finishing touch!

WONDERFUL card, Susie! The scene is so sweet! Your details, as always, are amazing. Neat woodgrain bkgrd, great sign, super how the red bike ties in w/the red in the wall paper. And ... your surgery was a success! "Parts" of Lottie will forever "live" on this card. Heehee!

WOW! What more can I say? This is a terrific card. I must say I am glad that the mishaps were confined to Lottie this week - sounds like you and your craft room survived!

Your card is AMAZING and absolutely knocked my socks off! I love the "Lottie" story that has a wonderful happy ending. We live where it has been incredibly cold and snowy for months now and your beautiful card gives me hope that spring will arrive - one day. Thanks for sharing. Karen.

Susie-this is just absolutely darling. My goodness my Mother will love this. How sweet to put her name on the sign at the shop. She will get such a kick out of that. I thank you from the bottom of my heart for this card. I spoke to my Mom yesterday and she is really excited about getting the cards. This is amazing and sure to be a treasure!

So cute, Susie! I hope the line isn't too long for the tasting, cuz I agree with you about chocolate being a food group! I'm just glad you have the bicycle out front, so I can ride off the calories from all the chocolate! We used to have a chocolate shop such as this in town, I used to love going there, just walking in and smelling the chocolate was like a little piece of heaven! I'm sure Rita will love this wonderful little scene!

Another amazing "susie" card! I can't imagine how long this must have taken! I love the details, the lace curtain and floral wallpaper behind the windows and of course, the bike! How clever to cover Lottie's remains with the shutter! Your step cards are always phenomenal!
