Okay fellow stampers - this is photo number three of my beautifully ordered craft room. This seems to be the most effective way I order my ribbon. I wouldn't want it on a doll rod because I like to take my ribbon to my project. It gets messier than this, and I occasionally straighten it up.
I remember first seeing this quote on Roxie's gallery - CREATIVE CLUTTER IS BETTER THAN IDLE NEATNESS. I like that quote. Sometimes I think too much neatness makes me afraid of making a mess. I do agree that you have to have some semblance of order

I find this hilarious!! I would have to clean up my stash first to make it look presentable!! Crazy thing...my stamps are meticulously organized but my ribbon and paper are in total disarray!! :-)

Hi there...I am NOT compulsively neat either, but I have fun organizing. I figured out that my Very Lazy Side wants things easy to find. And my I Don't Feel Very Creative Today Side is willing to spend a little time getting things in order once in a while. I took my TONS of ribbon rolls and put them in 'photo boxes' from Michaels, grouping the colors so I don't waste time searching. So I have boxes for Pink, Green, Autumn, Aqua to Teal, Blue, Brown & Textures, Neutrals. etc. I can take off the lid and see all the beautiful colors at once. Have fun in your craft room!

Wowzer! Can we say ribbon? Love your ribbon stash and I agree, I don't like ribbon on a rod...harder to use, then you gotta take all the ribbons off if the one you want is in the middle...too much work. haha! Love this!

I smile at your description and can relate to it. I do have one friend that had her ribbon in much worse disarray. An armchair was heaped with ribbon, all loose, none on even a cardboard reel. She said it was easier to see what she had. The pile was 18 inches tall. So this isn't too bad!
Thank you! Your picture makes me feel so much better about my ribbon! LOL just kidding! My ribbon is the same way. I like taking it to my project. I've tried ribbon holders, but it always manages to come undone. So, I think it is easier for me to keep it in a box and just do a little searching. Kudos to those who can keep it neatly on a rod!
