Yes, love can be blue and not make you feel blue! Since this week’s ODBD Shining the Light challenge is to make a love-themed or Valentine’s card with non-traditional colors (no red or pink), I chose my favorite color – blue. I used two shades and vanilla with some DP. I used the gorgeous new Ornate Hearts dies and used the new Beautiful Borders dies for the first time (love them!). For the border die, I threaded some thin ribbon (from my ribbon embroidery days – we all have lots of past hobbies, right? LOL!) and added some rhinestones for sparkle. I stamped the center with a tiny sentiment and did NO coloring, which is rare for me! But it was fun playing with these beautiful dies!

Thanks for taking a peek and for leaving a comment, which I always enjoy reading!

What a gift to be able to use pattern, die-cuts, and colour like this and still have a clean feel - the "I love you" is right at the center of the heart which seems to symbolize something important, I think! Beautifully feminine, even in blue! Gorgeous, gorgeous, work, mf!
