I have called this project "Everything but the kitchen sink" because prety much everything in sight has been used here.
This is a hinged lid box 11.5" x 9.5" x 2". It is the middle size from a set of 3, sold in the el cheapo type shops for less than $12 set. I left all the sides black and have only covered the lid. Here goes this list of goodies that I layered (upon layer, upon layer).
Cottage Cutz fence and Tree die, memory box tree die, chipboard cog shaped thingy, TH Umbrella Man, half of a Poppy stamps doily die, buttons, maddison double window dieand Martha Stewart border punch
Thanks to the many great MM tutorials here at SCS I think this turned out ok. I had heaps of fun making this. I have one question - should I seal this with Mod Podge?
Thank you for looking and happy 1st birthday SCS Mixed Media.

OMG, Susie! SUPER FABULOUS work! Great combo of mixed-media, PLUS, mediums you used and layered. And ... I see my FAV Umbrella Man on there, too. I'm giddy.

WOWZERS Susie....this is BRILLIANT!!!! I am in awe...you win the prize for most layers of "goodies" used on one project! There are so many wonderful details to look at on this..the whole scene is amazing! I suppose you could seal it with Mod Podge to sort of "protect" it if you wanted..would that make it duller..is there a shiny MP? I LOVE it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Shoe polish??

Susie, what a fabulous job you did. I would seal it, for sure. I see Polly was inquisitive about the shoe polish. I was, too. Well, whatever role it played, it certainly worked. Love it.

LOL at more fun than you think is legal - what a wonderful art piece you've created, Susie. And with black box sides, it must look so dramatic to have all this richness on top.
I think with shoe polish, unless it's buried under everything, I'd be inclined to use some sort of sealer! And I know that my metallic rub-ons which I've had for years need a fixative too, or they rub off. For something like this, I'd used a spray fixative rather than Mod Podge, though!

p.s - DH has just been helping me with the Tickle draw, so consider yourself serenaded with "Wake Up, Little Susie", as he sings along with some of the names, LOL.
