I'm working my way through my "homework" from the stenciling course I just finished. Today I used a stencil with embossing paste ... and then covered the paste with gold embossing powder. Once dry, I heat set it to create this 3-D background of gold stars.
I added a gold foil star to the center, with a smaller DP star in the center and a red rhinestone to add a little color. A strand of gold cording and a "Merry" die from gold foil finishes the card. I'm entering this into the CAS(E) this sketch! challenge (#61) as it is one of my go-to sketches.

Wow Loll....Love all your gold elements. Your gold eb embossing paste is amazing!!! I love the added red rhinestone to your pretty die cut star and the added merry in gold foil. All stunning. TFS

I just knew you'd come up with a fantastic layout for this technique! I've been looking at the "merry" die since it came out and now that I see it with your awesome gold stars, I think it is a must have! Beautiful job with the paste!
