Miss Boo (Jen) gave us a lovely color palette for the CAS challenge and for the teaparty, Sabrina asked us to use lighthouses and share a story about them.
There is something a little romantic about lighthouses. The bright light letting sailors know the shore is near and to take care when the weather is stormy. I have seen a few lighthouses and been in a couple too. The last time was Gibbs lighthouse in Bermuda. It is painted, all white. The view from the top is incredible! You will see many pastel painted houses with white roofs. The roofs are used to catch rainwater. Anyway, if you ever make a trip to Bermuda, I highly recommend a visit to Gibbs lighthouse!
The stamp is by Art Impressions and I have no idea if it is a rendering of a real lighthouse.

Kathleen, this is beautiful. Reminds me of sketch drawings. Your soft coloring is perfect for this wonderful image. Should be framed and hanging on your wall.

The almost monochromatic look is so effective, Kathleen - this is a wonderful card. I must ask my aunt if she visited that lighthouse - I know she was in Bermuda a couple of years ago (and her flight back was delayed because of high winds).
