I'm doing the online stencil course and one of the lessons is using Versamark and embossing powder with a stencil.
I used a doily stencil, patted Versamark all over it, added clear embossing powder, and heated it. I then used Vivid Tea Rose and Distress Tattered Rose to sponge over it - the embossed stencil acted as a resist. I went round the edges with Memento Rhubarb Stalk to give a darker edge and flicked a few water drops on it.
I used this as a background to a focal image of the Elements of Style flowers. I wanted to heat emboss the image and have it match the background, so because the Vivid Tea Rose ink is a dye ink, I went over the stamp first with Versamark and then with the Vivid Tea Rose and heat embossed it with clear ep. The sentiment is done in brown and then the image was cut with a Nesties peony die and bordered it with brown cs.

What a beautiful background with the embossed stencil! You have some brilliant ways to use the techniques! I love that you embossed your image to match too!
