You can't see clearly in the scan, but the black background paper (Club Scrap Science) has a wonderful mottled shiny and matte surface... the bleck specked is a touch textured, the black spider is handmade paper with gorgeous texture, and the silver is wonderfully shimmery and has an interference quality to it.

Thanks! I'm not a huge fan, but isn't this one gruesomely cute? hehee and perfect for my son! I also love the fuzziness of him by cutting him from handmade paper... he really is a tad hairy!
Thank you! The Spider and mats were already cut from when I made some pages for my son and a Nature Album for a school auction... on that I had "skitter scatter" cut out of metal tape with skinny sizzlit fonts and I took out the sewing machine and pure silver mylar type thread to sew webs onto the page and torn handmade black paper in two opposing corners It was all I could think to do in the dash to do 3 of the challenges in one hour before the deadline!
