Beautiful flowers! What a great way to use the plastic that comes with the extra pates we need! Though it is a little difficult to die cut with some dies.

Hi Jennifer - Thanks!! Yes I had trouble cutting through plastic with Sizzlits (most plastic is a bit too thick for them). I haven't tried other thin dies but will probably do so at some point. The steel ruled dies have no trouble of course. I hate throwing away plastic - I know it's just going to sit in a dump for years and years.

Love the idea of turning trash into treasure, and these little plastic treasures are so incredibly beautiful! Making my own embellishments is part of the joy of card making for me, so this technique is on my radar for sure. Glad I resisted the urge to get rid of my Sizzix.

For those with thin dies, try cutting thick "page protectors" instead of blister packs. Be ready when heating, it curls fast and not always how you want it to. If you angle from the other side it will curl the opposite way. If you catch it while it's still hot, you can straighten it a bit.
