Got this card made earlier today, but had to head out in the wintery weather to take my kids to a swim meet. Just got home after a hairy drive in the blowing snow....so glad to be back safely. Anyway, I wanted to play along in a couple of challenges today, Mixability was to use warm colors in at least 2 media-I used acrylics and ink and the Queen for the Day is to honor shendrian/Sharon. I chose this pretty poppy card of Sharon's to CASE. I kept the poppy image, but masked and stamped some print over it then sponged more warm colors around. I used an oval instead of rectangle and didn't have anything with scallops for the framing. I added a small embossed orange circle and used some gems as Sharon had. My bg piece is from some gelatin plate printing with acrylics that I had done a while back.

Gail, your CASE of my card is so pretty. I especially like the background - I wish I could create such a lovely b/g. I love the oval frame for your Poppies and the script behind them is the perfect touch! Thank you for making your card today and joining in the celebration!

Love the focal image, and your Gelli print background. I'm not having a good relationship with my Gelli plate, lol. Stay warm!
