What a heart-rending story behind the destination for the MMTPT Cupcakes, a Tutu and a Hippo or Two tea-party this week.
This is also for Judy's Real Sewing TLC challenge. Apart from the stitching you can still see on the card, you don't want to know how many stitches didn't make it on in my three failed attempts to add a little pink tutu to my baby hippo. When they all failed, I had to settle for sparkly toenails and bow.
A2 Bazzill base. SU papers cut and stitched. I added little heart brads in each corner.
Pun Fun hippo stamped on white card and coloured with Polychromos pencils. Outside masked, and I sponged in some grass. Centre masked and I sponged the outside pink, and then popped up on foam. I added some pink felt roses to dress it up a bit, and used a balloon brad over the stamped one which is part of the image.

Sabrina, I love everything about this! Your sewing is perfect, I'm jealous, you may remember a couple of years back I attempted sewing on a card and lifted the pressure foot and put a stitch in my fingernail. I couldn't practise the piano for close to a month. The painted toenails...pure genius. I also love all the hearts.

Sabrina, turned out great and she looks good even without the tutu--LOL. Love the background as is cute and the flowers make your card even prettier--if that is possible as is already there.
