This was fun and resulted in a lot of texture -- my niece said it looked like frosting on the tag!
I created the background of the tag first with distress inks and white acrylic paint. I used a palette knife to apply flexible modeling paste where I wanted the snow in a very swirly, lumpy way, thicker at the bottom, thinner at the top. Then I misted water on the tree stamp, pressed into the paste and lifted straight off. After it was dry I watercolored the trees using gelatos and finished with some stickles.
If you use your stamps this way, just be sure to clean off any paste that sticks to your stamp before it dries. Also, don't worry if the tag/paper curls up because it gradually flattens out as the paste dries.
