This is my card for the F4A201 challenge "2013 in review" - to go back through the forum and look for one of your favorite F4A challenges and create another Free 4 All card. I chose F4A192 - "Reverse Comics", which challenged us to Dig out your white embossing powder...and black card stock. Let's see some reverse comics...or chalkboard effect!
I was going to stamp and mask all the pieces on the bg layer, but since this stamp set comes with matching framelits, I stamped, embossed and die cut each piece. They were sponged with Colorbox Frost White and various colors of ink were sponged on using Brush Stix. I couldn't get the depth of color I wanted so I painted the pieces with Distress and regular acrylic paints. Of course, I stained the white embossing, so I traced over it with white gel pen.
The grass border was an afterthought - cut from black cs, sponged with white and then several shades of green ink. When I was satisfied with the color, I traced the edge with the gel pen. The houses and the grass layer are popped up with foam tape.
This was fun - and I think the card is fun, too.
As always, thanks for looking!
