Red is my favorite Christmas color, and I love cardinals. As I worked on this card, I thought of my mom who would begin decorating the house the day after Thanksgiving with many accents of red, culminating on Christmas day. I think she would have enjoyed this beautiful image from the Cardinal Ornament set. I sure miss her but am reminded that because of the birth (and death) of Christ, I will see her again. Such a wonderful reminder of what our Savior Jesus came to do for us.
This weekÂ’s challenge is Alternate Fold or 3D. SCS has a great tutorial for making easel cards. For more details on this week's challenge, please visit the Our Daily Bread Designs Blog.
Thanks for “stopping by” and leaving a comment! I hope you have a wonderful week and remember (in all the hustle and bustle) the true meaning of Christmas!

Oh, Cheryl, this is just beautiful. Even more so because it brings your mom close to your heart. I will be decorating a small tabletop tree when I get to my step-dad's house and I always put a bird ornament on it in memory of my mom, who loved birds.
