This is a birthday card I made for my good friend & fellow NEPA Giggler, Lisa (Runswithscissors). I've been trying to do quilt cards for all the Gigglers this year. Since Lisa's BD is in November, I decided on fall colors. I find a lot of the quilt patterns I use on Pinterest (unknown designer) I knew it would be perfect for her birthday card!
I usually use a 1" punch & a 3x3 quilt pattern but it would have been to big for this 4X4 block quilt pattern card so I punched 3/4 squares instead & hand cut them in half. The pattern fit perfectly. I used to adhered the squares on grid paper then trimmed them before placing on the DSP. But I found sometimes the grid paper showed once I embossed it. So I started putting them on a color that coordinates with the DSP. Then its run through the Big Shot using the SU Square Lattice embossing folder to give it that quilted look.
TFl!
