This card, is for the, 11/21/13, Emboss To Resist Is Not Futile challenge, WT454. I wasn't going to do this challenge, because I thought, that I didn't have all the supplies , I needed. Turns out, I do. My sweet daughter, came by, and guided me through my first card. All my cs, is from a local craft shop. I used black, and white, cs. I used versa mark, to stamp the tree, onto the white cs. I used gold embossing powder, and heated it until it was shiny. I sponged around the tree, with juniper, forest green, mountain rose, and sunshine yellow inks. I started in the center, around the tree, with the forest green. Then I used my oblong doily, ef, to frame the tree. I used a black sharpie marker, to color around the doily. I layered the image, onto black cs, and added a black scalloped strip across the bottom, and layered the gold ribbon onto the black strip, and added the gold bow, to complete my card. I really enjoyed my daughter's guidance, we had a fun evening, doing what we both love doing. Thanks for a great challenge, and thanks for looking.

Wow, Marg - this one is gorgeous too! The black doily frames your tree beautifully. I'm glad you realised you had all you needed and were able to have fun - and create two beautiful cards at the same time. What an amazing bow. Am I on your Christmas card list - joking ;-).

Love that frame around your golden tree! That gorgeous ribbon underneath makes the tree look like a beautiful enamelled brooch. I love the glow your sponging gave this lovely card. TFS
