This is "almost" a Teapot Tuesday card so I hope it is ok if I add a story . Our very own Nancy (stiz300) was introduced to SCS by her dear friend Lynn of Euclid OH. Lynn's health doesn't allow her to participate, but Nancy tells me that she follows our Teapot cards.
Lynn loves card making and travel, so I combined the two and came up with this. Young Matilda is sitting on the ground reading her travel itinerary. I accidentially severed both her feet whilst fussy cutting, no real damage to her shoes, but the book now has holes on both sides, which I have attempted to cover up. Tim Holtz distress ink (I call his inks, Mothers Little Helper) is a blessing for covering up these sort of mishaps.
I badly bent Little Audry's arm, (another accident when fussy cutting). I decided to make it look like a proper dislocated arm and added the obligatory stitches to her cheek, implying a nasty fall from her pushbike.
There is a little birdnest and feather on the back step behind Little Aud. There are some tree branches on the steps behind young Matilda. Both girls are Sassy Cheryl digi stamps and the card is a double stair step fold. The awning was made with a Martha Stewart punch. The little pushbike is held on with brads.
I had lots of fun making this, it is a huge honour to be part of SCS and especially the Teapotters. Thank you for looking and have a great week everyone.

Susie - see the look on Little Aud's face? You give me that kind of grin each time that I see one of your marvelous, creative masterpieces. Of course I'm always treated to a giggle or two with your process, and I thank you for that. My favorite part of this is the window - standing out so beautifully against your textured wall. The view inside is equally delightful, evoking vintage travel postcards. OK, I lied - I love your paper piecing the most...wonderful fussy cutting (mishaps aside) and perfect patten choices. What a perfect card. My dear, you were born to be a Teapotter. Bless you!!

Oh my Susie, how wonderfully, wonderfully done!!! No mishaps visible whatsoever, LOL! Such perfection in the details, I feel poor Audrey's pain! From the awning to the brick and stone background, it's all fantastic!!!

Mishaps and all, your card shows your incredible talent and your very big heart!!! I can see a LOT of work went into this card, that is a lot of fussy cutting and your writing is so small and still perfect! LOVE it all!!! Amazing as always!!!
