Welcome home and thank you Cathy for the wreath challenge on today's Ways to Use it. I could hardly wait to get into my studio and create this card. For today, a new friend will be sleeping in her house for the very first time. And slowly and with much excitement turn that house (which is an adorable 'jewel box' into a {Home}. I am thrilled to bits for her.
The very fine door with a palladium window is from Green Pepper Press. The siding of my friends house is the brick red color you see. And the real door is an eight panel solid wood door. The heart shaped twig wreath (B Line Designs) was popped up and the heart colored with Copics. I fussy cut the twiggy wreath. The door is cut and scored to open and view of what's inside. There is a wonderful Memory Box scene paper there. Finished up with a gold ribbon whose bow is on the inside and the Amuse sentiment, an old Chinese proverb was stamped directly to the ribbon.
The Journey IS the reward.
Thanks so much for coming into my gallery today, I'd love to have you here to chat and play...I appreciate the time you've given to me!

Utterly amazing...Susan! Love how you've personalized it for the recipient! The fact that you've done the inside and cut the door to open...pure genius!

I love that door, Susan! It's so like the famous Georgian doors of Dublin with their fanlights, although the stonework up the side is a bit fancier in yours. I absolutely LOVE the heart wreath.
I'll be sure to let you know when/if ever we get our dream home ;-). In the meantime I'll try to enjoy the journey!!
