This week’s Dynamic Duo DD78 color combination “Subtly Yours” are soft neutral colors- Always Artichoke and Crumb Cake.
I decided to combine a few retired sets to create my own Christmas Designer Series Paper. The background was created using a masking technique- With this technique, you can create a one layer card or multiple layers, the choice is yours! I love distressing edges of cardstock (helps me to "de-stress" my life- lol!) and I enjoy creating vintage style cards so these colors were perfect for me :-)
If interested, I have more details and free detailed instructions on My Blog
Thanks again for looking- have a fabulous weekend!

Julie, I really love your homemade designer paper amd how wonderfully the colors from the DD challenge work with this beautiful vintage-style Christmas card.

What a stunning card! I love the subtle colors and the way you arranged the pine spray to hide the 25 underneath. (I never could figure out what to do with that 25!). Great distressing. Now I may have to buy that distressing tool! LOL!

Thanks everyone!! Scrapinchaos-you do not have to do any "fussy-cutting"- I actually stamped the poinsettia sprays first onto VV, masked, re-stamped additional sprays, colored with the markers, then re-masked the floral sprays to lightly stamp the Christmas Collage background in select areas only over the "masked" poinsettias. The background is one layer before distressing and then layering onto the Crumb Cake/Artichoke (that is why the '25' does not show :-)) Thanks again for your comments and have fun!! The distressing tool is fabulous :-)
