Note: the snowman's carrot nose is orange and the bow tie is red but for some reason the colors look very close in the photo--sorry.
Per Lee Ann's suggestion, Audrie took us to the Christmas Idea Pinterest board by Laurel Seabrook. Loads of inspiration! I was inspired to make 10 cards, got some new ideas of how to use some of my antique pieces in my holiday decorating and even found a few recipes to try! A total three-fer! Hee! I saw a funky hat made of recycled materials that reminded me of a great snowman stamp that Torico (birdiebrown) designed. My hats are plain, not embellished. I added real sheet metal die-cut snowflakes for Friday's F4A challenge and a mustache to the nice man who is giving the little snow guy a hat.
Notes: I die cut the sheet metal with my Vagabond using a PTI die and a recycled piece of a cereal box for a shim to ensure it would cut through. Though the snowflake is delicate, it did cut perfectly. I striped the bag with an Inktense w/c pencil. I lightly water colored the snow with an Inktense pencil, blended it w/a SU blender pen. When dry, I used a SU white kraft pad, direct-to-paper, to tone down the color and make it snowy. Notice I added a smidge to his black shoes to make them look snowy.
Thank YOU for looking!
