Mixed Media- oh boy. This was my last card as I was really stuck with this whole idea. I am not a messy, layered card maker as a rule and what I often see with MM is lots of pattern and layers and stuff. Not my usual. In the end, I pulled out some watercolor paper and created a gradient with warm golden yellows and oranges. Stamped this silhouette on top which was a disaster as the wc paper is really ridged. So I took a black pen and dotted on top of the image to fill in the silhouette. The photo is terrible but in real life it shimmers and the layer under the sentiment is shiny gold. I have a scored border around the colored panel.
Thanks for the push to try something new and hope you like it. Gratitude to all who has participated in this card drive, to all who have organized & worked hard to make it happen. Let's get those boxes mailed now.

Wow do I love your background! I think we can all relate to the experience of trying to stamp on WC paper too! The image is perfect for that warm, wonderful sky. Great card!

This is a great example of what encouraged me to get involved with the HYCCT this year, my Califriend. Your gallery full of heart felt and light hearted cards that are all some kind of wonderful! The background is stellar and I so feel your pain in trying to use a silhouette on watercolor paper. But then I'm gazing at the bg!
