First HYCCT of 2013, Inner Beauty. Lydia challenged us to create a card where the inside reveals the card. A window into the soul, you might say. I used an unmounted rubber stand based on vintage magazine illustrations. The girls dresses were paper pieced. I added tiny word stickers to the mirror they are gazing into. Words that seem fresh no matter the generation!
The Color Challenge was to use the hues of olive, red, and coral...lovely! I used a beautiful glazed paper that combined the red and coral in a shimmery blend. It reminded me to wallpaper of yesteryear. The dresses are two shades of olive. Vintage lace that I cut (horrors!!!) to form a frame for my lovely ladies.
Thanks so much for stopping by. I am curious, what were your buzz words in high school? I grew up in the day of feel in' groovy, peace, Woman, and of course cool!

Love this lace edged window, Susan. I'm of the same generation as you, so, cool and groovy speak to me too.

This is such a pretty window card Susan!! It reminds me of the special windows they used to do up on Michigan Street, down town Chicago. I like the depth you achieved and your lace.
I can't remember what we said either except we always seemed to say man after and with everything. I like your Woman. :>)
