Today's HYCCT challenge is by my sweet friend Holly, and her challenge is to SPARKLE!! I spent many hours creating this and I know some people will think it's spooky, but I love it! Here in Texas, sugar skulls are a beloved tradition during October, leading up to Dia de los Muertos. Bakeries make real sugar skulls out of real sugar, but they are also painted, stenciled, papier mached onto everything - we just love them. It's just a Tejas thing
I used a stencil I got in Santa Fe from The Crafter's Workshop and sponged Whisper White Craft ink through it to help me see what I was doing. Colored on top of it with pencils on the outside, and then filled in the skull part with glitter. It's so sparkly and fun in real life!

Wonderfully crafted, Lydia! At first glance, b4 reading your description, I thought it was a Day of the Dad skull. Whoever gets this card will LOVE it, I'm sure.
