yup, my word to the wise today is to read ALL the instructions before you are in the middle of uploading and realize you have left out the main element your challenge hostess issued! I plead guilty, Holly to walking away from the glitter! It is a holiday card, it does have a smidge of pink there.
Thanks Korin for a most linear sketch...I think that's where I started off the road...just a bit too in the lines guide! But I do love how I eventually got there. Please keep these cool sketches coming!
It all started with the Tim Holtz Autumn embossing folder and tessaduck hooking me on the Gelatos...but the more I swathed on the color, the more it stuck out like a sore thumb...until I went hunting for DP for the sketch pieces. The long retired Basic Grey Ambrosia had bits of white mixed with those wonderful orange hues and suddenly it was all coming together. I scalloped the edge of the black and white pattern paper, crimped the striped one...stuck it all together with some gifted Wasbi tape...slapped it onto a kickstand base...added the snippet of silk trim to the UTEE'ed Love sticker I created and I was good to go...
Until I happened to REread Holly's challenge and see it was GLITTER. So in the spirit of being legal, I'll swipe a bit of glitter glue over the top of THANKFUL and I HOPE to not find myself in the doghouse of my SCS FAMILY.
I know I've been very long~winded, but just think of it being a warm~up for all those family get togethers. Thank you for your comments, they mean so much to me. Have a glittery day.

Fabulous, collage style take on the sketch, Susdan. Love the bright orange which really gives it a "happy" feeling. Great combination of DPs(not always the easiest to do).

ROFL!!! Relax - no doghouse for you!!! I think you did a fabulous job! I love that autumn EF and the rich fall colors you used on there. And gelatos - I love gelatos. It's so fun to see what other people do with them and you've done an awesome job here!
