Holly's super-fun and super-easy challenge in the HYCCT forum today is Sparkling Season.
I've been tidying my desk ten ways to Sunday trying to find a mislaid card-front. I still haven't found it, but something I did find was a piece of white card that had been over-misted with goodness knows what in shades of purple, and looked a bit washed-out. But with a piece of sparkle mesh laid over it - it looked just great! So yesterday morning I wiped a thick coat of Mod Podge all over my misty mess and pressed the mesh into it
The base and snow is glitter paper. Tree is cut from a scrap on the desk, embossed, sponged with green and edged with a Sakura Stardust pen for a little more sparkle. The trunk is a scrap of faux wood. Spellbinders deer, Memory Box alpha, and a star that was lying on my desk from Bev's pocket challenge. To get a little pink in for my bonus points I used a pink Sakura glaze pen on part of the star, and round the edges. Hard to see in the photo, but the two centre stars are popped up on foam and the plain, largest one is stuck to the base. I loved this - if I can come close to recreating the background panel I'll make another one for my own stash. Thanks for such a fun challenge, Holly.

you are my most sparkly friend, Sabrina! And I am so glad that glitter is safely across the pond! Just like we were the only house in the neighbor that had not a single can of Play-doh...JK!!! I LOVE the purple sky...such depth there and the bugged evergreen tree. Nice done with a bit here and there!!!!
