Made for the Hope You Can Cling To 2013 Challenge - Honour Your Elders
My mother and grandmother were great sewers. They always use to make all their own clothes, even their sparkly evening dresses they wore to the fancy dances of the day. I still have my Junior Debut dance dress, from when I was 9yo, that my mother whipped up for me (One of the boys was needing a partner and I was the only one left who could dance, LOL) My mother even knows how to sew her own custom fit bras! So to honour these women I’ve made a sewing themed card. I made a pop up card with elements from a Kaiser Craft ‘ephemera’ pack and stamped images from Darkroom door.

Such cool elements on the inside too! I love that you made it a pop up card! Thank you for sharing a bit of your Mom and grandmother, the Junior Debut dress (so cool!) and their love of sewing! I truly appreciate your special card for my HYCCT challenge!!!

I really enjoyed your write-up. My mother learned to sew from two of her aunts in France who were professionals, and she taught me when I was very young. I love the snap-fasteners!!
