When I strolled through our new queen Susie Australia's beautiful gallery I knew I wanted to do a tag, and was inspired mainly by this vintage tag and this little girl tag I wasn't sure how I was going to incorporate it into a card, but at some point in the process of this card when I was playing around with the butterfly, I came to the realization that I could use the butterfly itself AS the pocket! This ended up working even better after a big "uh oh" moment when the butterfly tore in two. As I was trying to figure out how to reassemble it I overlapped the two pieces and loved how it looked. I reinforced behind the join with a cardstock oval then glued down only the edges of the butterfly.
My tag has rub on accents and a jumbo eyelet with twine. It it layered over an embossed black piece with pocket watches. I'm playing along with the Dirty Dozen central theme of "time" with the thought of taking time to remember and vintage images and accents. My base has a woodgrain wheeled onto it as a nod to Susie's girl tag.
Close ups and a photo of the tag out of the pocket are on my blog

Each one of your creations is a tutorial in itself and thank you for that! This is incredible and a lovely tribute to Susie! The wonderful elements you incorporated make this so special! What a fantastic job you did and try as I may I have no clue where that butterfly could possible have been torn!

Nancy, it tore completely in half right along the left side of the body! I'm really excited to see how well it fits with the overlap as the size of this butterfly is intimidating to use on regular size cards.

Oh my, that noise you just heard was my jaw hitting the floor. Gail this is STUNNING and INCREDIBLE. There is so much to look at, I read everyones comments and that allowed me to find things I missed after staring at it in amazment for 5 minutes. I have learnt so much from you along the way. As Nancy (stiz2003) said each of your cards and descriptions are a tutorial in themselves. Thank you so very much. I can't wait to CASE this LOL. xxx
