What a fun technique! I've used the negative of die cuts & punches before, but I don't think I've ever made a card sized stencil with them.
I used several different snowflake punches & a
snowflake border punch to make my 'stencil'. Rather than doing strips & taping them together (because the punch can only reach so far into the paper), I elected to use copy paper & fold mine in order to punch all over. The border punch was used just along the lower edge.
After punching, I unfolded it then sponged white ink thru it onto the red background. I had these left over rectangle, circle and deckled frame so I used them. I also used one snowflake stencil to add a few red snowflakes to the greeting circle. Santa was colored with Copics, fussy cut & a little stickles added to the fur. The finished card is 4.25 x 5.50.
Thanks so much for looking! My blog:The Write Stuff. Sorry! I had to delete a bunch of really old posts from my blog & this is one of them.

Fabulous and thanks for sharing a quicker way to use a punch for making a stencil! Much easier than doing one at a time. I am intrigued but the detail and beautiful coloring in that wonderful Santa! Then fussy cutting! This card had to take you a while but it was so worth it!
