I printed the Sassy Cheryl's digital image the image of "A No. 2 Pencil & a Dream" onto X-Press It cardstock. I colored the image with Copic markers. Once finished, I framed the image panel with black cardstock and a piece of purple cardstock. The purple cardstock was stamped with a Hero Arts background stamp called "Circle Pattern" with Whispers Whisper Lilac.
I used the color of purple to represent pancreatic cancer. I lost two friends to pancreatic cancer, one in December 2012 and one in July 2013. My dream is for this terrible, painful cancer to be eradicated.
Thanks for such a meaningful challenge, HYCCT1306.

Kecia, this is just amazing! So beautifully colored and I'm touched by your story of loss. I too hope we can do better with cancer in our generation, both treatment and preventive. So glad you could join us this month in the Hope You Can Cling To challenges.

This is too precious! Such a sweet tribute to your friends. Big hugs!
