I wanted to see what Peaceful Warrior, a cross between a Ming/Tang Dynasty Horse and Steampunk, would like crackled.
So I stamped him, heat embossed him, colored him with Copic markers, then fussy-cut him. I painted on a thickish layer of Clear Rock Candy Distress paint onto his horse parts (head, torso, tail, legs) and let it dry overnight.
I added Glaze Pen to his non-flesh parts and set him aside while I worked on the background.
Silks Acrylic Glazes by Luminarte were sponged over the Steampunk Lace stencil by Artistcellar.
The stenciled piece was matted onto gold textured specialty paper and metallic gold corner and border stickers were added. The horse was "grounded" on the border sticker and gemstones were used to finish the piece.
Thanks for looking!

I love Steampunk and I love that horse. Is that the actual name of the stamp company? or did you just use first letters?
Anyway, love your card. It is colored too cool and love the stencil background and paint you used!

Oh, LOVE this steampunky Asian image! I have some crackle glaze - now I'm inspired to play with it Mix-Ability style! Love the results you got here, and the green with the gold.
