This album was TONS OF FUN TO MAKE!! Although, i had intended it to be a quick simple project, my mind ran away with me! I started with inspiration from: http://littlenannygoat.blogspot.ca/2...craft-tag.html
It is using 9x6 envelopes. The ones I found were with the flap on the long part as opposed to the top like I have normally seen. It allows for you to hold cards for each month inside for the special birthdays that month. They are hole punched at the top of each envelope (2 holes) with metal rings. When it is opened, the pages flip up... so each open page is a two envelope spread.
It was difficult to photograph. I ended up taking individual photos of each page and the embellishment work, then creating a collage in my photo editing software. (I use Picasa)
I started by painting the edges with TH peeled paint distress paint. While that was drying I found my papers... a different coordinating bunch for each month.
My next step was figuring out how to do the letters for each month. I wanted each one to be a bit different - different look and technique. I ended up cutting out different fonts from my cricut all in white cs so that I could customize each month. Some months I ended up using foam stickers or rub-ons.
For the cover...
the birthday was stamped using a CTMH promotional large alphabet stamp set. iI stamped each letter on patterned paper with CTMH seafoam ink, then fussy cut each letter. After they were cut, I sprayed Goosebumps over the top to give a bit of gloss and texture. I layed them out on twilight cs and cut around each one to leave a border. I arranged the letters on another CTMH cs scrap and popped it with 3d foam squares. The "calendar" was stamped with "heritage caps" CTMH in seafoam green. I cut around the word and layered it on twilight cs.
The ribbon is a variety of ribbons from my stash. Some were white and I colored them with distress ink. I am super happy with how it came out! I hope you enjoy looking.
